Where Does the Money Go?
People always wonder ... where does all the money go that the Hampstead Mothers Club raises?
This is our opportunity to share with you all the wonderful things we are able to do with the funds that are raised.
We recently built a $130,000 PLAYGROUND AT DEPOT ROAD FIELDS. We have also in the past built one at Woodland Pond and one behind the Memorial Gym, both of which were upgraded last year with major help from Auger Property Management who did all of the work, installation of new equipment, maintenance of existing equipment and grading the land. A recent addition to the Central School playground is the TEACH playarea for preschoolers. This was installed summer 2010.
- Purchased passes to the SEE science center and Imajine That center for the Hampstead Public Library
- Sponsored (2) Scholarships to Pinkerton students (1 male from Hampstead and 1 female from Hampstead) each year
- Purchased Child Fingerprint kits for the Police Station
- Donated money to the Hampstead Central School each year
- Donated money to the Hampstead Middle School each year
- Purchased Child Life Saving Equipment for the Fire Department
- Donated money to the Civic Club Fishing Derby
- Donated money to the Challenger Baseball League
- Donated money to Project Respect held at the middle school
- Donated computers, bookshelves, puzzles, story hour area rug, and children's furnishings for the Children's Area in the Hampstead Public Library
...and we continually support the children of Hampstead through donations to the numerous institutions within the community.
